Adult Education Program
Brief History
Rush community is made of up of many vulnerable individuals from society such as the elderly, uneducated widows and widowers. As a way of empowering them, the adult education program was started. Through the program, elderly members of the community are taught basic educational skills in reading, writing, listening, speaking and computer. As part of the program, each student is given a flash disk to store in all their notes and academic materials. This program has led to the elderly being i ndependent, effective communicators and IT literate (which is important in the world today). They do not live-in fear of being manipulated because of illiteracy.
